Good morning, Beasts!
Thank you for being the first to join the Black Hand for this, our second volume of Paul Harding, Ron Marz and Matthew Dow Smith's critically acclaimed Beast Of The Black Hand series! Also joining us this time around is Mr. Nanjan Jamberi on colors, while Troy Peteri returns to do the lettering. These guys have a pretty special, crazy story that they're telling here and the work they've been producing is career best; which says a lot when you consider their combined creative pedigrees!
If you've ever backed a Kickstarter before, one of the standard lines you might hear over and over again is that this project wouldn't be possible without all of you backing it and sharing its existence to your friends. Well, just because you hear it a lot doesn't mean it's not true! Your support of the various projects Ominous Press and Creation.Ink has funded is humbling and we don't take it for granted.
We had a tremendous first day for the campaign and, as I type this, we're over 20% funded in slightly less than 24 hours. That's a healthy indicator for our Beasts and we plan to keep on pushing this boulder up the hill until we reach the other side.
We've got a lot of fun surprises planned for the campaign. Some new rewards are coming down the pike (and if you've already pledged but something new catches your eye, you'll be able to add on anything else you'd like to your account). Some comic book guest stars will be dropping by to lend their talents. There will be social media goals, stretch goals, podcast interviews, print interviews...Ron Marz has even vowed to talk to himself in the mirror (he does this anyway but now he has an excuse) to help the cause.
So sit back, buckle up, and get ready for a thrilling roller coaster of a ride full of twists, turns, adventure, intrigue and monsters. Both with the campaign and especially from Beasts Of The Black Hand: The Viking League.
And you may have heard this before (just a few paragraphs ago, in fact) but by all means, feel free to share the news of this campaign to your friends that might be interested. Every bit of signal boost we can get goes further than you could possibly imagine.
We'll leave you this morning with an early look at the amazing Rachel Stott's rendition of Maria Rasputin, which you'll be seeing pop up on the campaign page very soon. Amazing stuff, don't you agree?
Stay safe out there. There are beasts around every corner.
Your pals at Ominous Press and Creation.Ink
