Another work week in the books, Beasts! For most of us, anyway, although Kickstarter campaigns tend to be a 24/7 affair so no rest for the wicked or the weary!
For today's update, we're flashing all the way back to two days ago, Wednesday of this very same week, where we unveiled Matthew Dow Smith's cover to what will be the single issue of Beasts Of The Black Hand #3 as part of our mad plan to also offer Beasts as four individual issues because, y'know, not everyone prefers the graphic novel format. Some people love floppies with all their hearts and we want to cover that audience too.
Long story short, you've already seen Matt's in-progress cover to #3. Now, we present you with his FINISHED piece. Your weekend task is to see how many subtle differences you can spot between the two versions. There will be a test on Monday and you WILL be graded so NO SLACKING!
Keep fighting the good fight along with us, guys. See you Monday with all the latest in Beasts Of The Black Hand vol 2: The Viking League news!

Beasts!
Every time one sends out an update on a campaign, Kickstarter suggests that the update start out with, "Backers, thank you all so much, we've come so far in such a short time..." so, you know what? Just this once, I'm gonna do it! I'm gonna follow Kickstarter's lead and let's all see how it feels.
Backers, we've come so far in such a short time! But you know what, we've still got miles to go on this campaign. We're working hard behind-the-scenes to get the word out about this project on social media BUT... that funding goal is moving a bit slower than we'd like at this stage of the campaign. This is a great project and the creative team improves on the first volume of Beasts in every way here in The Viking League. The character work is richer, the story more suspenseful. Matthew's art has gone to a new level and the Beasts... even more terrifying! If you guys can just help us continue to get the word out about this project, every new set of eyeballs makes a big difference. We really need your help!
To help get the word out, gentleman writer Ron Marz has given an interview with conskipper.con where he talks about all things Beasts, not to mention shares some thoughts and insight regarding some of the other work he's done that comic readers may be familiar with, including Green Lantern/Kyle Rayner, Star Wars, Silver Surfer and more! If you'd like to check it out, click the link below:
That's all for today, gang! Keep helping us fight the good fight, stay safe and wash your hands!

With a little more than two weeks to go in the campaign, and a little more than halfway to go to our goal, we have a few more surprises up our sleeve. Here’s a sneak peek at one of two new covers that Matthew Dow Smith is producing, so we can offer a very limited set of the complete Beasts of the Black Hand saga as four collectible comic issues.
Matt is busy coloring this cover, and designing the next one, so stay tuned for updates! In the meantime, please keep spreading the word about the Beasts of the Black Hand campaign on social media, so we can reach as many people as possible!

Hey Beasts,
Welcome to week three of America's favorite Kickstarter campaign: Beasts Of The Black Hand vol 2: The Viking League!
To kick week three off in style, we're officially unveiling the Tom Mandrake (collaborating with his talented daughter Sian on colors) variant cover for the Beasts Legacy edition! Here, have a peek!
If you, or a discerning friend, want to add one of these beauties to your account, just look for this nifty graphic on the page, then look to the right where you should find the reward tier. Due to printing costs, we only have 50 copies of the Mandrake variant available so, much like the Ron Marz conversation mentioned yesterday, don't sleep on it!
But wait, there's MORE!
Tom has agreed to let us list the original black and white art for his Beasts cover as an additional reward on the Kickstarter page and, truthfully, there's nothing quite like Tom's work in stark black and white.
Always worth another look!
If any Beastly fans out there are into original art, this reward will go live at noon today so keep an eye out for it!
That's it for this very Mandrake-centric daily update. Keep fighting the good fight out there, friends! Stay safe, wash your hands and join us back here again tomorrow for another look into the Beasts campaign!

What's up, Beasts? Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!
It's shaping up the be an action-packed week in the the never-ending battle that is running a Kickstarter. We're a little behind where we were hoping to be as we close out week two, still a bit shy of 50% of our funding goal but we're working on it, promise! And if you guys continue to share the campaign out to fresh sets of eyes, that can only help us gain ground on this Beast of a campaign!
And while you're helping us get the word out about this project, let's not forget THIS little reward right here...
Who wouldn't want to talk to this guy?!?
Anyone that's ever met or chatted with Ron Marz (except maybe for the Bleeding Cool guy) has come away thinking, "wow, what a nice guy! So easy to talk to, so full of behind-the-scenes anecdotes and Kyle Rayner trivia." If one were to pledge for this reward, I'd recommend saving it for an in-person chat when conventions get started again. Get a drink or two into Ron and suddenly, you're strapped in for a five hour rollercoaster ride of a conversation that, much like the best Marvel movies, will leave you feeling both exhausted and exhilarated by the end. So by all means, tell your friends not to sleep on the Ron Marz experience and you know what? Grab a piece for yourself!
And speaking of experiences, there's nothing quite like a piece of Tom Mandrake artwork, is there? The mood, the monsters, the magic comes through in every piece! Tom's ridiculously talented daughter Sian (the Force is very strong in the Mandrake/Duursema household) has colored this masterpiece and it'll go live tomorrow on the Kickstarter page. Don't worry, I'll remind you to check it out and, if you're so inclined, to add it to your pledge!
That's all for today, my Beastly friends. Stay safe out there. Wear a mask and wash your hands!
