Beasts!
Thanks, as always, to all of you, Beasts Of The Black Hand: The Viking League is 97% funded this morning!
We've got ten hours remaining to cover that last 3% and, dare to dream, make a last minute dash towards a couple of the stretch goals for this project?
Several backers have inquired about whether these books will be signed by Harding, Marz and Smith. Our first stretch goal answers that question! If we hit 28k, we'll be including bookplates in every HC, lovingly John-Hancocked by our beloved beastly trio.
Hang in there with us, guys! We're all so close to meeting the Baubus and believe me, none of our lives will ever be the same.

Beasts!
We made some AMAZING progress towards our funding goal yesterday! It was our best day of the campaign since the first week and if we can keep up this momentum, there's no doubt we're going to crush it over the last leg of this marathon! Thanks to all of you that believe in this project and raised your pledge or liked/shared it on social media. You're making a big difference over these last 51 hours.
That's right. There are 51 hours left in this campaign! So, for those of you that are good at math, that breaks down to two full days plus three hours to march the rest of the way to our goal. Keep fighting the good fight with us; you're joining a small army of our comic book-industry friends in sharing the project and helping to get the word out.
One easy way to help us get a little closer to funding is to adjust your pledge and add some more beastly magic to your rewards package. A quick (and economical) way to do that is by claiming one of our special, variant cover editions that were created exclusively for this campaign.
With cover art by industry legends like Mike McKone, Mark Nelson, Rachel Stott and Tom Mandrake, (not to mention the blank sketch cover edition), the variant covers are extremely rare and not currently available outside of this campaign. There are limited amounts left of each. If you're inclined to help us reach our goal, just adjust your pledge accordingly and leave a comment detailing which sketch cover you'd like. We'll add it to your account and BOOM, it's a win/win for all of us!
The final 48 hours approach. We're excited; hope you guys are too! Let's make this project happen!

A word about Henry Johnson

One of storytelling aspects that makes Beasts Of The Black Hand unique is its blend of real world historical figures and dieselpunk horror fiction. One of the integral characters in the Beasts of the Black Hand saga is Henry Johnson, a real-life, American World War I hero.
Henry’s bravery in the Argonne Forest earned him the French Croix de Guerre, and then posthumously, the Medal of Freedom. He was part of the 369th Infantry Regiment from New York, an all-black brigade known as the Harlem Hellfighters.
Coincidentally, Henry lived a portion of his life in the Albany, NY area that both Paul Harding and Ron Marz call home, working as a redcap at Albany Union Station. In fact, there’s a Henry Johnson Boulevard in Albany.
Henry Johnson: Beast fighter
Our version of Henry is fictional, but his real-life story is just as fascinating, and sadly, tinged with tragedy due to the racism he faced. Beasts of the Black Hand presents Henry in a heroic role befitting the life he lived.
Could Henry be the Teutonic Knight?
Beasts Of The Black Hand (vol 2): The Viking League is currently funding on Kickstarter, with three days remaining in the campaign. Be a part of history-- and historical fiction, by backing the campaign and sharing your support on social media. These final few days are critical to the future of the Beasts saga.
Thanks for your help in getting this project off the ground!

Short and sweet today, Beasts.
We've got three days left in the campaign to bring BOTBH: The Viking League to life.
Beasts fans are a hardy stock so there's no need to sugarcoat anything. At our current funding trajectory, despite our best efforts, we're not going to make it.
To quote The Mighty Thor, when ol' goldilocks was facing certain doom while battling the Midgard Serpent: "I SAY THEE NAY!"
There are many great rewards remaining in this campaign: Original cover art by Tom Mandrake, sketch rewards by Matthew Dow Smith and Paul Harding, sculptures; even an original sculpt reward of the character of your choice by Paul. Help us get the word out, every like or share on social media is critically important right now.
No one is saying it will be easy but together, we can bring Beasts Of The Black Hand: The Viking League out of the shadows and into the light. Rally caps on, gang. Let's get to work!
Stay safe out there. Wear a mask and wash your hands.
